15 Central Park West

This project combines Central Park views with a town house feel in a four bedroom apartment facing Central Park West.

The owners are major Asian art collectors, so the spaces were created with maximum exposure to the art collection without interference to the grand view of Central Park.

The concept was to create a typical brownstone town house in New York City with and over the tree top view of Central Park.

New moldings, trims and coffering of the ceiling were installed to evoke the feel of the pre-war structure of the past. Doors and passage ways were heightened, the walls were treated with venetian plastering, and floors were stained with a dark rich mahogany color to extend the depth perception.

Furniture and finishes were chosen and detailed to highlight the rich textures, shapes and feel from the old world.
